Summary

When Suzette returns from boarding school, she isn’t sure if she’ll want to stay home or go back to New England at the end of the summer. Los Angeles is where her friends and family are (along with her crush, Emil). And her stepbrother, Lionel, who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, needs her emotional support.​But as she settles back into her old life, Suzette finds herself falling for someone new... the same girl her brother is in love with. Soon, Lionel’s disorder spirals out of control, forcing Suzette to confront her past mistakes. Now she must find a way to help her brother before he hurts himself—or worse.

    Brandy Colbert is an American writer. She earned a bachelors degree in journalism from Missouri State University. Her debut novel, POINTE (Putnam, 2014), won the 2014 Cybils Award for young adult fiction. Her second novel, LITTLE & LION (Little, Brown, 2017), is the winner of ALA’s 2018 Stonewall Book Award. Her work can also be seen in anthologies such as Three Sides of a Heart: Stories About Love Triangles and Feral Youth. Her third novel, FINDING YVONNE (Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, 2018) is followed with her fourth, THE REVOLUTION OF BIRDIE RANDOLPH (2019). Brandy lives in Los Angeles where she works as a copy editor for magazines and books.
