Book 3 to be published in November 2020

Opposites attract in this story as a straight laced police officer is forced to work with a tattoo artist. Well thought out mystery with few missteps. Think Val McDermid's THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO without the minutia or wild goose chases. Strong start for a series, this book won a pitching event at the Bloody Scotland festival.

Alison Belsham has worked as a screenwriter.

In Brighton, DI Francis Sullivan, barely thirty, has just become the youngest DI in Brighton’s police force. He got the job over his DS, Rory Mackay, and that causes tension, but they manage to make it work. Francis is a smart detective and heads his team well.
In Book #1, THE TATTOO THIEF, there’s a serial killer at large, slicing tattoos from his victims’ bodies while they’re still alive.
Marni Mullins is a successful tattoo artist and is grabbing a coffee, when she spots her ex-husband, Thierry. She hides from him, but in doing so stumbles across some gruesome human remains. She becomes embroiled in the police investigation into the murders at the behest of DI Francis Sullivan after she anonymously calls in the body she’s found.
